【阪神内燃機⼯業】兵庫県が発⾏する「グリーンボンド」へ投資

- 本債券の発⾏による調達資⾦は、 兵庫県が取り組む地域の個性を活かした SDGs の達成に資する５つのグリーン化事業に充当される。１）汚染防⽌および抑制、２）エネルギー効率、３）気候変動への適応、４）⽣物⾃然資源および⼟地利 ⽤に係る環境持続型管理、５）陸上および⽔⽣⽣物の多様性の保全
- なお、2024/7/11には岩手銀行が岩手県が発行する「グリーン/ブルーボンド」への投資を発表しており、近年加速している自治体のグリーンボンド発行による新しい視点での地域活性化、持続可能なまちづくりの動きを観察できる。

【三菱地所】ネイチャーポジティブ実現に向けた、生物多様性を客観的に評価する6つの手法を策定

- 三菱地所株式会社は、群馬県みなかみ町、公益財団法人日本自然保護協会と、2023年2月27日にネイチャーポジティブの実現を目指して3者で連携協定を締結しており、今回はその活動のひとつである「生物多様性保全や自然の有する多面的機能の定量的評価への挑戦と活用」の取り組みのなかで、生物多様性を客観的かつ定量的に評価する6つの手法をとりまとめた。
- ネイチャーポジティブの実現に向けた国際目標である昆明・モントリオール生物多様性枠組（GBF）や各自治体の目標に対する生物多様性保全活動の貢献を客観的に評価できるものになり、TNFDで求められている企業による事業を通じた地域の自然への「依存度／影響」の評価や、「リスク／機会」「指標と目標」の検討及び開示に活用することも可能。
- 評価結果も公表され、現状把握、ポジティブな評価だけでなく、課題も言及されている。また、6つの評価手法は、日本全国の生物多様性保全活動で活用することが可能である点にも、本取り組みの将来性や社会貢献性の高さが垣間見える。

【KPMG】New Climate Reporting Resources Hubを開設

- 大手会計事務所KPMGは、企業の気候関連の報告と開示に関するニーズをサポートするための新しいオンラインリソース「Climate Reporting Resources Hub」を立ち上げた。気候関連の開示基準やガイドライン、業界ベストプラクティス、ツールやテンプレートなど、多岐にわたるリソースを提供する。
- 気候変動に関する透明性と責任ある企業行動を求める圧力が高まる中、企業がその報告プロセスを強化するための一助となることを目的としている。特に、気候関連の財務情報開示タスクフォース（TCFD）や、国際財務報告基準（IFRS）財団による気候基準、さらにはEUのサステナビリティ報告指令（CSRD）などの規制要件に対応するためのガイダンスを提供。

【 The Hanshin Diesel Works 】Invested in Hyogo Prefecture’s “Green Bond”
（July 8, 2024）
- The funds raised by this bond issuance will be allocated to five greening projects aimed at achieving the SDGs in Hyogo Prefecture:
- 1. Pollution prevention and control
- 2. Energy efficiency
- 3. Climate change adaptation
- 4. Sustainable management of biological resources and land use
- 5. Conservation of terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity.
- On July 11, 2024, The Bank of Iwate, Ltd. announced its investment in Iwate Prefecture’s “Green/Blue Bond,” highlighting a growing trend in local government-led green bond issuances for regional revitalization and sustainable urban development.

【 MITSUBISHI ESTATE 】has developed six methods for objectively assessing biodiversity to realize Nature Positive.
（July 8, 2024）
- MITSUBISHI ESTATE CO., LTD., in collaboration with Minakami Town, Gunma prefecture and The Nature Conservation Society of Japan, developed six objective and quantitative methods for evaluating biodiversity. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts under the Nature Positive partnership established in February 2023. These methods align with international goals like The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework（GBF）and TNFD requirements, facilitating the evaluation of corporate impact on regional nature and the disclosure of related risks and opportunities.
- The results of these evaluations, which include both positive outcomes and identified challenges, will be publicly disclosed. The six methods can be utilized in biodiversity conservation activities across Japan, reflecting the initiative’s potential for social contribution and future impact.

【 KPMG 】 Launches New Climate Reporting Resources Hub

- Global professional services firm KPMG has launched the Climate Reporting Resources Hub, a new online resource to support companies’ climate-related reporting and disclosure needs. The resource provides a wide range of climate-related disclosure standards and guidelines, industry best practices, tools and templates, and more.
- It aims to help companies strengthen their reporting processes in the face of increasing pressure for transparency and responsible corporate behavior regarding climate change. In particular, it provides guidance on meeting regulatory requirements such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation’s climate standards, and the EU’s Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
