【ポーラ・オルビスホールディングス】TNFD 提言に賛同し、TNFD Adopter に登録。「気候変動及び自然関連のリスクと機会」分析結果を開示

株式会社ポーラ・オルビスホールディングスは、TNFDの提言に賛同しTNFD Adopterに登録。また、TNFD が提唱する LEAP アプローチのフレームワークに沿って「気候変動及び自然関連のリスクと機会」の分析及び開示を完了。
同社は、気候変動及び生物多様性の環境変化は重要なリスク・機会と考えており、2021年に TCFD（気候関連財務情報開示タスクフォース）に賛同。
今回はより統合的な情報開示を実施。自然資本と事業との関係を確認し、今後の自然環境と社会の変化から想定されるシナリオを描き、自然資本が事業活動に与える影響を特定、リスクと機会を確認。分析結果を踏まえ、持続可能なパーム油調達の指標を非財務 KPI に追加。
CO2 排出量の削減、水使用量の削減の指標も含め、環境領域の実績を中長期の役員報酬に連動することで実効性を高めていくとのこと。

【ISO】2025年のCOP30でネット・ゼロに関する初の国際規格を発表へ

ISO（国際標準化機構）は2025年11月の気候変動枠組条約第30回締約国会議（COP30）で、ネット・ゼロ・エミッション達成に関する初の国際規格を発表予定。
本規格は、COP27で発表されたISOネット・ゼロ・ガイドラインを発展させたもので、ネット・ゼロ目標達成に向けた国や企業の取り組みを支援しながら、脱炭素の取り組みを効果的に測定・管理するためのグローバルな枠組みを提供することを目的としている。

【NEC】3回目のサステナビリティ・リンク・ボンドの発行条件を決定

（2024/7/3）

日本電気株式会社が2024年6月3日付で公表した3回目のサステナビリティ・リンク・ボンドについて、発行条件を決定。
発行年限は5年と10年があり、発行額はそれぞれ200億円と100億円。
「気候変動(脱炭素)を核とした環境課題への対応」を基盤マテリアリティの1つとして特定し、2040年カーボンニュートラル達成に向けた環境経営を加速することを掲げている同社として、２つのKPIを掲げている。
- KPI 1：NECグループのScope1およびScope2におけるCO2排出量削減率
- KPI 2：CDP気候変動のスコア
上記KPI 1はNECグループ自身の観点から、KPI 2は第三者評価の観点から、これら脱炭素に向けた取り組みの進捗を測る指標となる。

【岩手銀行、矢巾町】SDGsパートナーシップ推進フォーラムを開催

（2024/7/5）

岩手銀行は、7月5日に岩手県矢巾町が開催した「SDGsパートナーシップ推進フォーラム」に協力した。同行はサステナブル・ラボ株式会社と共同で矢巾町内企業にサステナブル経営を周知し、取り組みをサポートする。
開会挨拶で矢巾町長は「非財務」をスコア化することで他社との具体数値比較が可能になる」、岩手銀行は「持続可能な未来のためには脱炭素に注力する必要がある。金融機関ができることをやっていく」とコメント。
当社は、「中小企業こそサステナビリティ経営に力を入れ、生存戦略や成長戦略を考えていくべき」と話し、非財務情報をスコア化するツール「TERRAST for Enterprise」を活用した企業のサステナビリティ経営支援を行っていく予定だ。

【POLA ORBIS HOLDINGS】Endorses the TNFD Recommendations and Registers as a TNFD Adopter. Disclosure of “Climate Change and Nature-Related Risks and Opportunities” Analysis

（1st July, 2024）

POLA ORBIS HOLDINGS INC. endorses the recommendations of the TNFD and has registered as a TNFD Adopter. The company also completed the analysis and disclosure of “Climate Change and Nature-related Risks and Opportunities” in line with the framework of the LEAP approach proposed by the TNFD.
The company believes that environmental changes in climate change and biodiversity are important risks and opportunities, and endorsed the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) in 2021.
More integrated disclosure was implemented this time. Identified the relationship between natural capital and business, drew up possible scenarios based on future changes in the natural environment and society, identified the impact of natural capital on business activities, and identified risks and opportunities. Based on the results of the analysis, added indicators of sustainable palm oil procurement to non-financial KPIs.
CO2 emissions reduction and water consumption reduction indicators were also included, and the company intends to increase effectiveness by linking performance in the environmental area to mid- and long-term executive compensation.

【ISO】to Launch First International Standard on Net Zero at COP30 in 2025

（1st July, 2024）

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) plans to launch the first international standard on achieving net zero emissions at the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in November 2025.
The standard is an evolution of the ISO Net Zero Guidelines released at COP27 and is intended to provide a global framework for effectively measuring and managing decarbonization efforts while supporting national and corporate efforts to achieve net zero targets.

【NEC】Determines Terms of Third Sustainability Linked Bond Issue

（3rd July, 2024）

NEC Corporation has determined the issuance terms for its third Sustainability Linked Bond, announced on June 3, 2024.
The issuance period is 5 years and 10 years, and the issuance amount is 20 billion yen and 10 billion yen, respectively.
The company has identified “addressing environmental challenges centered on climate change (decarbonization)” as one of its core materialities, and has set two KPIs to accelerate environmental management toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.
・KPI 1: NEC Group’s CO2 emissions reduction rate in Scope 1 and Scope 2
・KPI 2: CDP climate change score
KPI 1 above is a measure of the NEC Group’s progress toward decarbonization from its own perspective, while KPI 2 is a measure of progress from the perspective of third-party assessments.

【Iwate Bank and Yahaba Town, Iwate】Held SDGs Partnership Forum

（5th July, 2024）

The Bank of Iwate, Ltd. cooperated in the “SDGs Partnership Forum” held by Yahaba Town, Iwate Prefecture, on July 5. The bank is working with Sustainable Lab Inc. to promote sustainable management to companies in Yahaba town and support their efforts.
The Mayor of Yahaba town said, “Scoring ‘non-financial themel’ enables us to make concrete numerical comparisons with other companies,” and Iwate Bank commented, “We need to focus on decarbonization for a sustainable future. We will do what financial institutions can do”.
Sustainable Lab said, “SMEs are the ones who should focus on sustainability management and think about survival and growth strategies,” and plans to support corporate sustainability management by using the “TERRAST for Enterprise” tool to score non-financial information.
